RANDY MOSS MOTORSPORTS WELCOMES GODADDY.COM:
The No. 81 Chevrolet Silverado of Randy Moss Motorsports will have primary sponsorship from GoDaddy.com this week at ORP. Look for the debut of the new
RandyMossMotorsports.com coming soon – designed, hosted and maintained by GoDaddy.com.
CASSILL ON O’REILLY RACEWAY PARK (ORP):
“ORP has been a really cool track for me in the past. I've raced late models a few times there, with a couple top-five finishes and I also held the track record in an ASA late model for a couple years. It's a very prestigious place and I hope to continue that success with Randy Moss Motorsports in the No. 81 truck.”
CASSILL ON RETURNING TO TRUCK SERIES ACTION:
“I love racing in the Truck Series - plain and simple. The Truck Series has so much action, and the trucks are tons of fun to drive. It has to be the most exciting racing in NASCAR. It has also helped me in the Nationwide Series tremendously, and I hope to continue racing in the Truck Series in the future.”
CASSILL ON DRIVING FOR RANDY MOSS MOTORSPORTS:
“I have really enjoyed driving for David Dollar so far this season, and to add Randy Moss to the mix is just an added bonus. To be affiliated with such a household name as Randy Moss is pretty cool, and will definitely boost my career.”
CASSILL ON WORKING FOR CELEBRITY PROFILE ATHLETES, DALE JR. & RANDY MOSS:
“I have been incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work with people like Dale Jr. and Randy Moss. Even on top of that, I have worked with Jeff Gordon, Rick Hendrick, and Jimmie Johnson. I have learned so much from these people, and it is almost surreal to see how much talent and knowledge there is among them.”
ORP CHASSIS:
For Friday’s race at ORP, crew chief Eric Phillips has chosen chassis No. 002.
CASSILL AT ORP:
Cassill, 19, has made numerous laps around ORP throughout his bright career. He made his second career NASCAR start at the 0.686-mile track last year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driving for Hendrick Motorsports, where he finished in the 30th position. In July 2006, Cassill earned the pole position for the American Speed Association Late Model Series (ASALMS) North Division race and finished in the fifth position. Also, Cassill raced in the ASALMS race at ORP in 2005 and finished fourth in the Champion Racing Association Super Series race in June 2006.
TRUCK SERIES SUCCESS:
In five career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts, Cassill has recorded one top-five and two top-ten finishes. In Cassill’s second start of the 2008 season at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, he finished in the ninth position. Most recently in the NCTS, Cassill raced at The Milwaukee Mile and recorded his first NASCAR top-five finish, as he came home in the third position. He has completed 99.7% (952 of 955) of the laps competed in his five NCTS starts.
WAVE OF MOMENTUM:
Cassill comes into ORP on a wave of momentum, as his past two races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) have resulted in two top-ten finishes. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native finished tenth in Chicagoland two weeks ago and improved his best NNS finish to sixth this past Saturday at Gateway International Raceway. In Cassill’s young NASCAR career, he has 17 starts in the Nationwide Series and five starts in the Craftsman Truck Series.
DOUBLE DUTY:
In addition to driving the No. 81 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet Silverado on Friday, Cassill will also compete at ORP in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on Saturday. He will pilot the No. 5 National Guard Chevrolet for JR Motorsports.
RANDY MOSS REPORTING TO NFL TRAINING CAMP:
