Randy Moss Motorsports Names Donny Lia as Driver of the No. 81 Chevy Silverado Starting in the Camping World RV Rental 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

STATESVILLE, N.C. (September 9, 2008) – Randy Moss Motorsports (RMM) announced today that NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rookie of the Year Contender Donny Lia will take the wheel of the No. 81 RMM Chevrolet Silverado beginning with the truck series event at New Hamsphire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 13. 

The Long Island, New York native currently sits 17^th in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver points and is second in the 2008 Rookie of the Year standings.  Lia is also slated to drive the No. 81 RMM truck at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 20. 

Lia returns to truck series competition after sitting out last week’s event at Gateway International Raceway and is looking forward to his first Craftsman Truck Series event at a track he is very familiar with.  Lia has already made an impact in the Truck Series, scoring his first career win in Mansfield Ohio this May. His success comes off the heels of a dream season in the modified ranks where he raced at New Hamsphire many times.

"New Hampshire is the closest thing to a home track that I have on the truck series,” commented Lia.  “I've raced at New Hampshire for a few years now.  Being that I came from the modified series we raced there twice a year and last year I won a modified race there.  It's a track that I really enjoy going to.  Of all the tracks that we race on in the truck series, New Hampshire by far I have the most experience at.  I'm just looking forward to going there again and looking forward to racing the truck again.  It was a little hard watching the race and not being in it, but definitely looking forward to this weekend more so than I probably have looked forward to going racing all year, so definitely very excited about it.”

As far as driving for Randy Moss, Lia is excited about the opportunity.  "It's pretty cool.  I get to say I've driven for Randy Moss and now we're going racing in New Hampshire at New Hampshire Motor Speedway up in the New England area.  That's makes it even more special.  It's probably a little bit of pressure on us to perform being it's Randy Moss and we're up in New England.  I'm really looking forward to it.  It should be a very cool experience.  I'm real honored to be able to be a part of it."

Team owner Randy Moss is excited to see his other passion come to the New England area for the first time since he has taken on the role as a Craftsman Truck Series owner.

Live television action will take the green flag for the running of the Camping World RV Rental 200 Driven by Winnebago Industries at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 13, 2008.  Coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on SPEED.  The event will also be broadcast live on MRN and Sirius Satellite Radio with coverage beginning at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
